Biochemistry Laboratory
The department, now a reference laboratory, serves both its own institution and various healthcare facilities, offering specialized and rare tests. The Clinical Biochemistry Unit conducts tests in the Hormone, Hematology-Coagulation, Drug Levels, and Tumor Markers sections. The Hormone Section focuses on infertility monitoring, thyroid hormone evaluation, vitamin level measurement, and heart disease assessment. Tumor markers are measured to detect the presence of cancer in the body. The Drug Levels Section monitors medications for heart disease, neurological conditions, organ transplant immunosuppression, and chemotherapy. The laboratory also researches important diagnostic tests, shares the findings with physicians, and updates its panels accordingly, ensuring high-quality and up-to-date services.
